Looking Back to 2023: More Women Organisations Promoting Female Candidates in Dutch Politics

Following Gender Concerns’ Lead: More Organisations Promote Women in Dutch Politics As an international gender and development NGO, Gender Concerns International has been working towards increasing women’s political participation and eliminating electoral GBV both in the Netherlands and abroad through various initiatives since 2004. In 2017 and 2021, for example, Gender Concerns International launched its reputable international Gender Elections Observations Missions (GEOM) in the Netherlands, inviting major women organisations from 10 European countries, including the Dutch network NVR, to observe elections in 2017. We congratulate NVR, WoMen and their other partners on receiving support from the Dutch government to promote women’s participation in Dutch politics. We support their work and reaffirm our commitment to the cause of increasing women's political participation and towards the work on #EndElectoralGBV.
