Feminist March on Internationals Women's Day

On March 8, 2025, the streets of Amsterdam were filled with an empowering energy as thousands of people including men, women and children came together for the Feminist March commemorating the International Women’s Day. The crowd gathered at De Dam around 1 PM, where powerful feminist speakers set the tone for the day before the march made its way to Museumplein.

Organized by a coalition of feminist groups and activists, the event put a spotlight on the importance of feminist, inclusive, and diverse leadership—especially in tackling global challenges.

The Feminist March was a bold display of unity and determination, bringing together people from all backgrounds to stand up for gender equality and social justice.

Protesters carried signs with messages like "Stay out of my womb," "Mansplain why I’m here". The energy in the air was a mix of defiance, hope, and resilience—a collective push toward a fairer world.

More than just a protest, this year’s March was a reminder of why feminist activism is so crucial right now. It reinforced the idea that peace, freedom, and democracy are deeply tied to feminist values, and that real change requires collective action. The 2025 Feminist March in Amsterdam wasn’t just about demanding rights—it was about celebrating resistance, solidarity, and the belief that a feminist future isn’t just possible, but inevitable.
